Quality custom & restoration sheet metal work & repair

The formed trim piece was riveted on with tapered flush ground rivets, a pain to get out.

This 27 Model T Ford is a Family Heirloom and has been in the family since the 1950's so its time to freshen up the body.

First I need to strip all the old paint off using Aircraft and epoxy paint stripper.

The trim panel covered a lot of the rust out a major sill replacement will be needed.

I will now start forming them to the contoured shape.

Ah yes almost 100 years and no protection from the rust mites has taken its toll a new full length section will be made.

Its going to need panel repairs for sure. more sculpture material both sides on the rear.

Its had work on the panels years ago and re rusted thru since so it's down to bare metal to save the Heirloom.

Just the body and doors for now.

Its a lot worse than in this picture a full new lip will need to be made.

The factory seam filler will need to be removed.

New outer sill channels bent to a 90

I removed the very rusty bolted in upper and lower valance panels.

Its decent under the old paint except the lower cowl on both side has a liberal amount of sculpture material to cover up the the rust thru.
